about

I feel like there's a gap between literature and music--which there probably should be--but what I'm talking about is the fact that people who get stories published are usually MFA grads that come from a house full of money, thus can spend most of their time "writing" and lolly-gagging. And that's fine. But! Thinking about the fact that a lot of people (specifically, POC) come from households/neighborhoods that can't afford a "proper" education, a large portion of those kids resort to music. There has to be some sort of in-between. Some space that isn't as shit on as rap, but isn't as uppity as getting a story published in The New Yorker. That's what Phlour Days is. Or at least, what I hope it can be.

Also, if there are any audio flaws, that's because I'm not a sound engineer. Just a guy at home who likes to write.

Thanks for listening.
